The distance between the two stations  is 360 km

Solution:

Given that,

A high speed train travels at a speed of 200km/h

Therefore,

speed = 200 km/hr

The train sets off from station A at 12:24 and reaches at station B at 14:12

Therefore,

Total time travelled = 12 : 24 to 13 : 24 + 13 : 24 to 14 : 12

Total time travelled = 1 hour + 0.8 hour = 1.8 hour

The distance is given by formula:

distance = speed \times time\ taken\\\\distance = 200 \times 1.8\\\\distance = 360\ km

Thus the distance between the two stations  is 360 km
