Given that,

Length of the hill, l = 100 m

The hill makes an angle of 12 degrees with the horizontal.

Mass of jogger, m = 50 kg

To find,

Work done by gravity on the jogger.

Solution,

Using trigonometry to find the sloping height of the hill such that,

h=100\times \sin (12)\\\\h=20.79\ m

The work done by gravity on the jogger is :

W=mgh\\\\W=50\times 10\times 20.79\\\\W=10395\ J\\\\W=10.3\ kJ

So, the work done by gravity on the jogger is 10.3 kJ.
