a hockey ball of mass 200gm travelling at 10m/s is struck by a hockey stick so as to return it along its original path with a velocity of 5m/s.Calculate the change in momentum occurd in the motion of the ball by the force applied by the hockey stick

Initial momentum = 200g*10m/s=2000mg/s
Final velocity= 5m/s
Final momentum=200g*5m/s= 1000gm/s
Change in momentum= final-initial = 2000-1000= 1000g m/s
