The velocity of efflux at the bottom will be 20 m/s

Explanation :

Net pressure at the bottom of the tank = 3 atm

=> ρgh + 1 atm = 3 atm

=> ρgh = 2 atm

1 atm = 10⁵ N/m²

density of water = 1000 kg/m³

g = 10 m/s²

Putting these values in the eqn we get

=> 1000 x 10 x h =  2 x 10⁵

=> h = 20 m

we know that the velocity of efflux is given by:

v = \sqrt{2gh}

=> v = √( 2 x 10 x 20)

=> v = 20 m/s

Hence the velocity of efflux at the bottom will be 20 m/s
