Dear Student,

● Answer - (1)

V = 240 kV

◆ Explanation -

# Given -

E = 3×10^6 V/m

r0 = 8 cm = 8/100 m

# Solution -

For a hollow sphere, electric field inside the sphere is zero.

Potential outside the sphere is given as -

V = E.r0

V = 3x10^6 × 8/100

V = 24 × 10^4

V = 240 × 1000

V = 240 kV

Hence, maximum possible potential of conductor is 240 kV.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you..
