A hollow cylinder has a length of 10 cm and radius 7 cm. It is cut along it's length to form a rectangle. Find the dimensions of the rectangle
so formed.

Answer:

the length of the cylinder is eaual to the length of the rectangle

the radius of the cylinder is 7 cm

diameter of the base of the cylinder=7×2=14 cm

the diameter of the base of the cylinder = breadth of the rectangle

hence the dimensions of the rectangle formed,

length = 10 cm

breadth= 14 cm
