A hollow wooden box of thickness 50 cm is made its outer length breath and height
is 15m and 8m and 12 m what is the volume of wood used?​

Let the length, breadth and height of the wooden box be l, b & h respectively.

then, L = 15m ; B = 8m & H = 12m

l = [15-(2×0.5)]m = 14cm ; b = [8-(2×0.5)]m =7m and, h = [12-(2×0.5)]m = 11m

now, vol. of wood to make the wooden box :

= L×B×H - l×b×h

= 15×8×12 - 14×7×11

= 1440m² - 1078m²

= 362m² ans.
