Hey.

Velocity is given by , v = 10 - 2t

As acceleration is given by

a =  \frac{dv}{dt}  \\  \\ so \:  \: a \:  =  \frac{d(10 - 2t)}{dt}  \\  \\ or \:  \: a \:  =   - 2 \\

So, acceleration will be -2 or a retardation of 2 units .

Thanks.

Answer: a=-2 m/s^{2}

Explanation:

  • Given v=10-2t and to find acceleration.
  • We know we get acceleration when we differentiate velocity with respect to time i.e., a=\frac{dv}{dt}.
  • \frac{dv}{dt}=10-2t

     ∴ a= -2  m/s^{2}

  • Hence, the acceleration when v=10-2t is -2.
