A horizontal pipe of non-uniform cross section allows water to flow through it with a velocity of 1 m/s when 50 kPa pressure is exerted at a point. If the velocity of the flow has to be 2m/s at some other point, what will be the pressure at this point?
A. 97 kPa
B. 48.5 kPa
C. 24.5 kPa
D. 120 kPa

Applying Bernoulli's equation at point 1 and point 2,

⇒P1+21ρV12=p2+21ρV22

⇒50×103+21×103(1)2=p2+21×103×4

⇒5×104+500−2000=p2

⇒p2=48.5kpa
