A Horrible storm story
Answers
Explanation:
One stormy, wet and windy day a girl awoke to the sound of a tree crashing through her bedroom window. She was horrified and angry. She had spent the last two days cleaning her room, and now it looked worse than it ever had before.
Amy was sad as she watched her room falling down around her. The wind blowing through the broken window blew all the pictures off her wall. Amy thought of all the great memories in those pictures. Her friends from her old neighbourhood, her family and all her new friends. Then she remembered her list of phone numbers on the wall. All the phone numbers of her friends from her old neighbourhood. “Oh no,” she screamed. She knew she had to find that list.
She looked here and she looked there, she pulled back her covers and looked under her bed. She looked everywhere but she couldn't find it. Then all of a sudden she heard a flapping noise outside the window. She ran over and looked out. “There it is!” she cried. Outside the broken window, stuck to the leaves on the tree, was her list of phone numbers. It was wet, and the ink was starting to run down the page. She knew if she didn't get it soon it would be ruined and those numbers would be gone forever.
“I've got to do something, ” Amy thought. She grabbed a piece of tree branch and cleared all the broken glass from the window frame. She climbed up and sat there, looking out at the tree and the list. “Should I do this or is it too dangerous?” she asked herself. And then, without further hesitation, she climbed out of the window and onto the tree. As she climbed down a little further, she heard thunder, and then a giant strike of lightning appeared over her head. She was terrified, unable to move. She told herself that nothings was going to happen to her. “If I go quickly” she thought, “I will be able to bring the list back before anything can happen”. She put her feet on the closest branch and made her way out the bedroom window. She didn't look down because she knew it was a long way to the ground, and she was afraid she might get scared. ''I can do it'' she told herself.
All of a sudden lightning struck the branch. “Oh my gosh'' she cried, and climbed back into her room. She looked behind her and saw the paper waving in the wind, freeing itself from the tree branch. The wind blew it straight into her window. She ran to it and picked it up off the carpet. It was wet and the ink was smeared, but she could still read every word and every number. Amy's parents came in the room and saw her standing in her ruined room. But she was smiling. She had everything she needed
