LET 'X' BE THE PRICE OF HORSE

COST OF CART = 1/3 * X

= X/3

X + X/3 =1800

Lcm = 3

X/3 + X/3 =1800

4X = 1800 * 3

X =5400/4

X = 1350

and, cart = y

then,

x+y = 1800

y = 1/3 × X

putting value in equation no. 1

= (1/3x) + x = 1800

x = 1800 - 1/3x

x = 600
