A horse has to apply more force to start a cart than to keep it moving.Why?

Here, Newton's first law will be used

Because if a body at rest then it require force to get into motion and when it comes in motion it easily going on... After starting of motion it require force to stop it.

cart has a overcome static friction and to keep the cart in motion.The horse has to overcome sliding friction
static friction is more than sliding friction
