A horse is tethered in one corner of a rectangular field, 60m by 40 m by a rope 14 M long. on how much area can the horse graze?

Let ABCD be the rectangular field in which AB=60m and BC=40m.

Then, it can graze through a quadrant of a circle of a radius 14 m.

required area = (1/4 *22/7 *14*14)m2 = 154 m2
