1/4th of circular region of radius 3.5 M as Horse can only graze between two adjacent edges of square ... So. area grazed = 1/4πr^2 = 1/4*22/7*3.5*3.5 = 9.625 M^2

Answer:

Side of a square =12 m

Length of the rope = Radius of the sector

∴ Radius of the sector r=3.5 m

Measure of arc θ=90°   [Angle of a square]

Area of field that can be grazed = Area of sector

                                                     =θ/360×πr²

                                                     =90/360×22/7×3.5×3.5

                                                     =1/4×11×3.5

                                                     = 38.5/4m²
