The string to which the horse is tied can be considered as the Radius.
Radius (or) string = 28 m
(As we know that the area enclosed in a circle is given by the formula πr²)
⇒the area by the horse can graze when tied a string 28 metres long is πr²
Substituting in the formula we get →
AREA = πr²
= (22/7) × (28²)
= (22/7) × (784)
= (22 × 112)
= 2464 sq. m
