A horse is tied to the rope of length 5m and the other end of the rope is tied to the pole.Find the displacement and the distance by the horse (i) when it makes half revolution along a circular path (ii) when it makes one full revolution (iii) when it makes 3/4 th of the revolution

Displacement = 2r = 2×5 = 10 m

(ii) When it makes full revolution along a circular path -

Distance = 2πr = 2×3.14×5 = 31.4 m

Displacement = none = 0 m

(iii) When it makes 3/4th revolution along a circular path -

Distance = 3πr/2 = 3×3.14×5/2 = 23.55 m

Displacement = √2r = √2×5 = 7.071 m
