Given:-

→ Mass of the horse = 60kg

→ Initial velocity of the horse = 45m/s

→ Final velocity of the horse = 60m/s

To find:-

→ Work done by the horse

Solution:-

We know that:-

Work done = Change in K.E.

=> K.E. = 1/2mv²

Thus:-

=> W = 1/2mv² - 1/2mu²

=> W = m/2[ v² - u² ]

=> W = 60/2[ (60)² - (45)² ]

=> W = 30[ 3600 - 2025 ]

=> W = 30×1575

=> W = 47250 J

=> W = 47.25 kJ

Thus, work done by horse is 47.25 kJ .

Some Extra Information:-

• Work done by a force on a body is the product of force and displacement of a body.

=> W = F × s

• Work is a scalar quantity.

• S.I. unit of work is joule (J).
