speed = 18km/hr.
=18 × 5/18 mt/sec
=5 mt/sec

time = 1 min.
=60 sec.

distance = speed × time
s = 5 × 60 = 300 mt.

work done = Fscos60°
=100 × 300 × 1/2
=15000m
=15 km

It is given that :-

  • Force applied by horse = 100N
  • Horizontal angle = 60°
  • Time = 1min = 60s.
  • Speed of horse = 18km/h = 18 × 5/18 = 5m/s

Now, the speed of horse is 5m/s. And the time for which it moves is 1min (60s).

Thus, the distance Traveled by horse will be = speed × time

= 5 × 60 = 300m.

Now the force applied by horse with a horizontal angle 60 ° is 100N.

Thus the work done by horse will be :

\maltese \: w = f \times s \times cos\theta

\maltese \: w = 100 \times 300 \times  \frac{1}{2}

w = 50 \times 300 = 15000J = 15kJ
