A horse takes 2.5 seconds to complete a round around a circular feild.If the speed of the horse was 66m/sec,then what is the radius of the feild?

Speed of the horse =  66m /sec

Time taken by horse =2.5 sec = T

One circular round of the field will be the total distance completed by horse. that will be the circumference of the field.

∴ Total distance = circumference = speed × time

                            = 66m /sec × 2.5 sec

                            = 165m.

Circumference of a circle = C

C=2πr ( r = radius, л = 22/7)

Hence Circumference = 165m = 2πr

r = 165 /2л

r = 165 × 2 ×22/7m

 =(165 ×7) ÷( 22×2)m

 = 1155÷44= 26.25m

Hence radius of the circular field will be 26.25m

Ans :-  Radius of the circular field will be 26.25m.
