(1) Distance = 942km

(2) Displacement = 282.84km

solution :

(1) Distance:

3/4 of the circle,

distance = 3/4(2πr)

= 3/2(3.14)(200)

= 942km

(2) Displacement:

by Pythagoras theorem, displacement = r²+r²

= 200²+200²

= 40000+40000

= 80000

= 282.84km
