Answer..

voltage, V = 220 V

  • Here Resistance of one coil, R =24

  • Coils are separately used

  • Ohm’s law, V=I1R1

  • I1 is the current flowing through the coil

  • I1=V/R1=220/24=9.166A

  • ∴ current flow of coil when used separately is 9.16 A.

  • Coils are connected in series

  • R2=24 +24 =48

  • I2=V/R2=220/48=4.58A

  • current flowing through the circuit is 4.58A

  • Coils are connected parallel

  • I3=V/R3=220/12=18.33A

  • flowing of the parallel circuit is 18.33A

Answer:

A) used individually = 10A

B) Connected in series = 5A

C) Connected in Parallel = 20A

Explanation:

GIVEN = 220V

            R1 = 22Ω

            R2 = 22Ω

USED INDIVIDUALLY

 V = IR

  I = V/R

  I = 220/22

  I = 10Ω

USED SERIES

R= R1+R2

  =44Ω

 I = V/R

I = 220/44

I = 5Ω

USED PARALLEL

1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2

  R = 11Ω

I = V/R

I = 220/11

I = 20Ω
