By the radiation process heat goes to the environment.

• The utensil becomes hot when it is kept on the fire and a significant amount of heat energy is stored in the body of that utensil.

• But,when we remove the source of heat or fire, from the utensil, the stored heat is transmitted into the external environment.

• Here, the physical contact with the heat source (hot utensil) and the heated object (surrounding's environment) is not completely available and the heat travels through empty medium.

• That's why heat is transferred by the radiation method,in this particular case.
