Hey Dear,

◆ Answer -

Total soup = 3.85 L

● Explanation -

# Given -

n = 150 guests

r = 7/2 = 3.5 cm

# Solution -

For 150 guests, soup to be prepared is -

Total soup = n × 2/3 πr^3

Total soup = 150 × 2/3 × 22/7 × 3.5^2

Total soup = 3850 cm^3

Total soup = 3.85 L

Therefore, 3.85 L of soup need to be prepared for guests.

Hope this helps you...

SOLUTION:-

Given:

A hotel prepare soup to be served to the guests in hemispherical bowl of diameter is 7cm.

To find:

How much soup should need the 150 guests.

Explanation:

•Diameter of a bowl= 7cm

•Radius of a bowl = 7/2 = 3.5cm

•We have 150 guests.

According to the question:

Formula of the volume of the hemisphere;

 =  >  \frac{2}{3} \pi {r}^{3}  \: cubic \: units \\  \\   =  >  \frac{2}{3}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 3.5 \times 3.5 \times  3.5 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{44}{3}  \times 0.5 \times 3.5 \times 3.5 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{269.5}{3}   \\ \\  =  > 89.83 {cm}^{3}

Therefore,

Soup served to 1 guest= 89.83cm³

•Soup served to 150 guests= (150×89.83)cm³

=) 13475cm³

_________________________________________

1 liter= 1000cm³

1cm³ = 1/1000litres

 =  > 13475 {cm}^{3}  =  \frac{13475}{1000} \:  litre \\   \\  =  >  13.475 \: litres

Thank you.
