Solution :-

Given that, A hotel uses 1/2 of a cup of vinegar in a salad recipe .

So, we can say that,

→ in a salad vinegar is used = (1/2) cup .

we need to find how much vinegear would the hotel use to make 2/3 of the recipe of salad .

So,

in a salad , vinegar is used = (1/2) cup .

Than,

→ in (2/3) salad , vinegar is used = (1/2) * (2/3) = (1 * 2)/(2 * 3) = (1/3) cup. (Ans.)

Hence, The hotel would use (1/3) of a cup to make (2/3) of the recipe of salad.
