Since, The hall is Surrounded by verandah

So, Additional increase in length will be =2∗2.5=5

Similarly , Additional increase in width will be =2∗2.5=5

So Area of Hall + Verandah =(20+5)(15+5)=25∗20=500

and Area of Hall =20∗15=300

Area of verandah =500−300=200

Rate of 1 sq metre =17.5

Rate of 200 sq metre 17.50∗200=3500

Answer:

22,800

Step-by-step explanation:

We know house and verandah are rectangular.

Area of rectangle = L*B

length of house = 20 m

breathe of house = 15 m

Area = 20* 15 = 300 sq m

length of bigger rectangle( including verandah) = 23

breathe of bigger rectangle (including verandah) = 18

area = 414

area of verandah = area of bigger rectangle - area of smaller rectangle

414-300 = 114 sq m

cost per square metre = 200

total cost of flooring verandah = 22,800 = 200 * 114
