>it will come out as 246 m square.
>then, cost = 246×200=49,200 rupees

Answer:-

  • Total cost of flooring will be 49200 rupees.

Solution:-

Given:-

  • Length of house = 20 m
  • Breath of house = 15 m
  • Area = 20×15 = 300 m²
  • Uniform width = 3 m

So:-

Length of veranda = 20 + 2 × 3 = 26m

Breath of veranda = 15 + 2 × 3 = 21m

Area = 26×21 = 546 m²

Area of rectangle = l × b

Area of surrounding veranda = Area of veranda part - area of house

= 546- 300

= 246 m²

Therefore:-

Cost of flooring 1 m² = 200 rupees

Cost of flooring 246 m² = 246×200 = 49200 rupees

Hence:-

  • Total cost of flooring will be 49200 rupees.
