A house is equipped with 100 watt bulb used for 5 hours a day and two fans hundred words each 100 watt each used for 10 hours a day and two tube lights 40 watt each used for 5 hours a day and fridge of 500 watt used for 10 hours a day. Calculate the electric bill if unit price cost to rupees​

Energy consumed by bulb = 100×5 = 500Whr.

Energy consumed by two fans = 2×100×10 = 2000Whr.

Energy consumed by two tube lights = 2×40×5 = 400Whr.

Energy consumed by fridge = 500×10 = 5000Whr.

Total energy consumed per day = 7900Whr = 7.9Kwh.

Cost = unit × cost per unit

= 7.9 × 2

= 15.8
