Solution :-
house wife saved RS 2.50 in buying an item on sale.

spent = RS 25

so

Actual price = Rs. (25 + 2.50)
= > Rs. 27.50.

Saving = 2.50

Percentage Saving = [(2.50/27.50)× 100]

=> = 2500/275

 =  > 9 \frac{1}{11} \%
Approx = 9%
How wife shaved in 9%

Answer:

She saved 9\frac{1}{11}\% in the transaction.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

The total spending = 25 rupees,

Saving amount = 2.5 rupees,

So, the actual amount = 25 + 2.5 = 27.5 rupees,

Thus, the percentage she saved = \frac{\text{Saving}}{\text{Actual amount}}\times 100

=\frac{2.5}{27.5}\times 100

=\frac{2500}{275}

=9\frac{1}{11}\%
