A housewife uses 10kg of wheat ,20kg fuel,5kg sugar and 2kg oil prices per kg of these items are 1.50 rupees , 50 paise, 2.80 rupees and 10 rupees respectively taking quantities used as weights find out the weighted anithmetic average of the prices?

First, we have to calculate total cost of products separately.


1.  Wheat- 1.50X10= 15 Rupees


2. Fuel- 0.50X20= 10 Rupees


3. Sugar- 2.80X5=14 Rupees


4. Oil- 10X2= 20 Rupees


Now, calculating arithmetic average,


=  Sum of Total price of all products


Number of products


= 15+10+14+20/4


= 59/4


= 14.75


Answer:  The weighted arithmetic average of the prices is 14.75.
