The water in the tank can last for 3080 days.

Total number of people in the housing society = 500

Volume of water needed by a person per day = 20 l

Radius of the water tank = r = 28/2 = 14 m

Heigth of the tank = h = 50 m

Volume of the tank = πr² h

= 22/7 × 14 × 14 × 50

= 30800m³

= 30800000 l

Number of days for which the water in the tank will last = volume of tank/ (water used by a person per day × total number of people)

= 30800000 / 20 × 500

= 3080
