When the water enters the cells, they swell and become bowed. This causes the guard cells to bend away from each other, thereby opening the stomata
when guard cell looses water they become straight this causes the stomata to close
(b) this plant will not remail healthy for a long time because stomata will be closed bcoz of Vaseline n due to closed stomata gases exchange will not occur and if the plant will not get CO2 photosynthesis will not occur nd food will not be made due to which plant will die within some days

Answer:
a)Stomatal pores in plants regulate the amount of water and solutes within them by opening and closing theirguard cells using osmotic pressure. In order for plants to produce energy and maintain cellular function, their cellsundergo the highly intricate process of photosynthesis. Critical in this process is the stoma.
