a. It Increases
Reason: as we go down the group the number of shells increases and as the shells increases the atomic radii increases (atomic radii/size of an atom is the distance of the valence shell from the nucleus)
b.It Increases
Reason:as we go down the group the distance of the valence electron from the nucleus increases and it become easy to lose an electron as the nucleus has got positive charge but due to increased distance it becomes hard for the nucleus to hold the atom and losing an electron becomes easy
