a. Mendeleev, who first published his periodic table in 1869 is usually credited with the origin of the modern periodic table.

b.The periodic table, also known as the periodic table of elements, is a tabular display of the chemical elements, which are arranged by atomic number, electron configuration, and recurring chemical properties.

c. Modern periodic law states that the physical and chemical properties of elements are the periodic functions of their atomic number.

There are 18 groups and 7 periods present in the modern periodic table.
