A huge population can be Obstacle for a country because of growing population need also grow and in any country there is not so much grains and food to eat.

A huge population is definitely an obstacle to any country’s progress. Especially if this population is not optimally balanced and consist of an abnormal percentage of old people or young infants. Such an imbalance would require huge investment in health and medical infrastructure. It would also mean lesser human resources, in the effective working age group.
Even gender imbalance in the population of a country can have an adverse impact on progress of a country.
