To Find : How many beats is this in an hour?

Express  answer in scientific notation.

Solution:

Heart beat in a  minute = 80  time

1 hour = 60 minutes

=> Heart Beat in 60 minutes = 80 * 60  = 4800 times

Standard form is also called scientific notation form

A number is written in scientific notation if it has the form c × 10ⁿ where

c ≥1,  c < 10, and n is an integer.

4800  = 4.8 * 10³

4.8 * 10³ is scientific notation
