Let the hydrated salt be Na2SO3.xH2O On heating it loses water. So, it will lose 18x g of water which is 22.22% of total weight of compound (given). so, according to given conditions, 18x/(18x+126) x 100=22.22 (126 is molecular mass of Na2SO3 ) Hence, x=2 So, the hydrated salt is Na2SO3.2H2O

srishtichandra2009: It is Na2SO3 not Na2CO3
