Answer:

The decrease in volume of the oil is 0.5 Litre

Explanation:

As we know that bulk modulus is the ratio of increase in pressure and volumetric strain

So it is given as

B = \frac{\Delta P}{\frac{\Delta V}{V}}

now we will have

\Delta P = 10^7 Pa

\frac{\Delta V}{V} = volumetric strain

B = 5 \times 10^9 Pa

now we have

5 \times 10^9 = \frac{10^7}{\frac{\Delta V}{V}}

so we will have

\frac{\Delta V}{V} = \frac{10^7}{5 \times 10^9}

\Delta V = 250 \times 2 \times 10^{-3}

\Delta V = -0.5 Litre
