  1. 10th May 1994 is important for South Africa because first democratic non-racial government elections were held on this day in the country. Nelson Mandela became the first black president of the country.
  2. Belinda tickled the dragon unmercifully because it was very scared and cried for a safe cage. They all laughed at it as it was a coward.
  3. Lencho was angry after opening the letter because he found only seventy pesos inside the envelope. He had demanded a hundred pesos from God. Instead of getting angry on God, he got angry on the post office employees because he thought them to have misappropriated the money.

  1. The lawyers was not happy with the job because he was made to deliver summns, instead of prepaing legal briefs. For that task, he had to go to dirty and shadowy corners of the city. He also fearwed of being beaten up bythe witnesses.
  2. Matilda was not satisfied with what her life had to offer and was ashamed of her status. As she was humiliated by her lower-middle-class existence, she, generally, avoided meeting her rich friends like Mme Forestier, a wealthy lady, whom she knew from her days at the convent school.
  3. Before appointing Hari Singh as a servant, Anil told him that he would not give Hari regular salary. He had to cook food for both and Anil could only feed him.
