a). The following diagram represents separation of two immiscible liquids, that is the liquids whose density is different.

b). the liquids used in  the above diagram are kerosene oil and water from which kerosene is lighter than water and floats on it.

c). by above method we can separate the liquids whose densities are different or we can say that if one floats on other likely to be lighter one can be separated.

d). e.g. oil and water, glycerin and oil etc.

e). separating funnel- where liquids are filled.
