- Each conditional clause type relates to a combination of tenses and how they are placed in which order. TYPE 0 uses a combination of present simple and present simple, TYPE 1 uses a combination of present simple and future simple, TYPE 2 uses a combination of present simple, would, and the base of a verb, and TYPE 3 uses past perfect, would have, and a verb base.
- These descriptions are usually straight forward but in cases such as sentence 2 and sentence 7. the order has been switched around but they still fall into their respective category.
