12 sinA = 5

    sinA = 5/12

sinA = opposite/hypotenuse = 5/12

hence opposite side = 5k

and   hypotenuse = 12k

(adjacent side)² = 12²- 5²

                       = 144 - 25

                        = 119

adjacent side = √119

cosA = adjacent/hypotenuse

         = √119/12

cotA = adjacent/opposite=√119/5

3 sinA-cosA÷cot A

3×5/12 - √119/12 ÷ √119/5

= 5/4 - √119/12 × 5/√119

= 5/4 - 5/12

= (15-5)/12

=10/12

=5/6
