Solution :-

→ p(x) = x² - 7x + 13

so,

→ p(3) = 3² - 7*3 + 13

→ p(3) = 9 - 21 + 13

→ p(3) = 22 - 21

→ p(3) = 1 (Ans.a)

now ,

→ p(x) - p(3) = x² - 7x + 13 - 1

→ p(x) - p(3) = x² - 7x + 12

→ p(x) - p(3) = x² - 4x - 3x + 12

→ p(x) - p(3) = x(x - 4) - 3(x - 4)

→ p(x) - p(3) = (x - 4)(x - 3) (Ans.b)

and,

→ p(x) - p(3) = 0

→ (x - 4)(x - 3) = 0

→ x = 4 , 3 (Ans.c)
