to find the value of X , equate it with 0.

x+5=0

x=0-5

x= -5

found the value of X as -5

Now given : p(x)=x^2 - 20 x + 5 k

substituting the value of X in p(x).

p(x)=x^2 - 20 x + 5 k

p(-5)= -5^2 - 20 (5)+ 5 k

=>25 - 100 + 5k

equating the result with 0 so as to find the value of K .

25-100+5k=0

-75+5k =0

5k =0+75

5k =75

k=75/5

_____

k= 15

----------

THEREFORE THE VALUE OF K IS 15.

this is the correct answer
