Answer: b² = c² - a²

i.e b² = (12)² - (7)² = 144 - 49 = 95

∴ b = √95cm or 9.74cm

Answer:

We have to use Pythagoras theorem

Step-by-step explanation:

a²+ b² = c²

7² + b² = 12 ²

49 + b² = 144

b² = 144 - 49

=   95

b = √ 95

= 9.747
