(a) In nature, oxygen is found as O2. (b) In nature, noble gases appear as single atom.

Explanation:

  • Oxygen is found as O2 in nature because of its valency. A single oxygen atom cannot stay single and it has to combine with another oxygen atom to stay stable. It is diatomic.
  • However, in noble gases, the atoms of most of the elements stay single as their configuration is constant.
  • They don’t have to combine to other atoms to be complete. Example of noble gases are Lithium and Helium.
