Answer:

In water, the refractive index is 1.3 and in glass, it is 1.5. Therefore, light travels faster through water, than it travels through glass.

Refractive index of glass - n1 = 1.5

Refractive index of water - n2 = 1.3

n1 / n2 = 15 / 13 = 1.15

Snells law - The ratio of sine of angle of incidence to the sine of angle of refraction , for the given colour of light for a given pair of media is called Snells law of refraction

sin i / sin r = constant
