area increases in 2 sec = 8%/sec × 2sec = 16 %
new area of ink-pot = area of ink-pot + 16% of area of ink+pot

= (40 + 16 × 40/100 ) cm²
= (40 + 6.4) cm²
= 46.4 cm²
