Answer:

Suppose B joins A after x months.

Then the ratio of their capitals can be reckoned as 76000(12):57000(12-x).

Since the profit is distributed in the ratio of their capitals, 76000(12):57000(12-x) = 2:1 => 48:3(12-x) = 2:1=> 16:12-x : 2:1=> 16= 2(12-x)=> 8= 12-x => x = 4

So B joins after 4 months.
