a)it is because theu have a strong force of attraction between the two opposite ions which a large amount of energy to be broken down.
b)it is also a ionic compound.
same as answer (a).
c)it is because both hydrogen and non-metals gain electrons.

a) Ionic bond are usually hard.
Because ionic bonds are formed by the ions and the force of attraction between these bonds are strong, thus it is usually hard.
b) Sodium Chloride has a high melting point.
Because the force of attraction of ions in NaCl is quite strong thus a lot of energy is required to break these bonds and thus it has a high melting point.
c) Non metals do not displace hydrogen from dilute acids.
Because as non-metals do not lose electrons readily and so they do not displace hydrogen from acids.
:) Hope this Helps !!!
