A is 20m away from c in East direction. B is standing in south of A and is facing south direction and distance between A and B is 30. Now to the right of the of the B covering 32m towards west, D is standing. D is eating ice-cream standing on its position and facing north. After eating D starts moving towards southeast direction covering 13m and reach to the position E. What is the distance between D and C and C is in which direction with respect of D.

Explanation:

Given,

AB =20m

BD=32m

DE=13m

We have to calculate the length of DC.

Let us take the point opposite toC on DB and Mark it as F. Now CA=FB=20m and AB =CF=30m

Now in ∆ CDF

Applying Pythagoras theorem

CD2 = CF2+DF2

CD2=302+122

CD=√900+144

CD=√1044

CD=32.3m

Hope this is helpful for you.

The distance between C and D is 32.3 m

Given,

A is 20 m away from c in East direction. B is standing in south of A and is facing south direction and distance between A and B is 30.

So, we get, the following data.

AB =20 m

Again, given, Now to the right of the of the B covering 32m towards west, D is standing. D is eating ice-cream standing on its position and facing north.

So, BD=32 m

From the statement, After eating D starts moving towards southeast direction covering 13 m and reach to the position E, we get,

DE=13 m

Suppose, the point opposite to C on DB is X. Now CA=XB=20m and AB =CX=30m

If we apply Pythagoras theorem in the triangle ∆ CDX,

we get,

CD² = CX²+DX²

CD²=30²+12²

⇒CD= \sqrt{900+144}

⇒CD=√1044

⇒CD=32.3m

So, the distance between D and C is 32.3 m.
